Kangs Lose Heartbreaker, 5-3

Sophomore Theo Alexander
doubled and homered in a losing effort.
The Kangs fought hard on Wednesday night only to come up
short, as Kevin McShane’s two-run home run in the bottom of the sixth inning
broke a 3-3 tie and led Bothell past LW, 5-3.
Trevor Dunlap pitched valiantly in defeat, scattering 7 hits over six
innings of work. Lake Washington had
nine hits on the night, but couldn’t cash in on their opportunities. Sophomore Theo Alexander was 2-for-2 with a
double, home run and an RBI and junior Wesley Russell had a double and 2 RBI to
lead the offensive attack.
LW gets back on the horse Thursday when they continue their
suspended game against Roosevelt. Colin
Tremblay will be at the plate with runners on first and third and nobody out in
the top of the eighth inning when play resumes.
A win would get the Kangs back into a tie for the last Crown division
playoff spot with Ballard at 6-8.
