LW Back in Win Column with 9-1 Win

Senior Trevor Dunlap tossed
5 shutout innings to improve to 3-1.
Senior Trevor Dunlap allowed four hits in five shutout
innings and fellow senior Colin Tremblay drove in 3 runs as the Kangs snapped a
three-game losing streak with a 9-1 win over Skyline. Dunlap, who improved to 3-1 on the season,
struck out 6 Spartan batters without a walk before giving way to junior Bob
Cruikshank for the final 2 innings.
LW started the scoring in the third inning on an RBI single
by Nori Shimizu. Bases loaded walks to
Cruikshank and Spencer Jackson combined with a Skyline error gave the Kangs a
4-0 lead. Three more runs came across in
the fourth thanks to a two-run single by Tremblay and an RBI knock by sophomore
Theo Alexander. Tremblay and Alexander
each drove in runs in the sixth as well, capping the scoring for Lake
Washington.
Junior Alex Donnelly was 2-for-5 with two runs scored and
Nori Shimizu scored three runs for the Kangs, who evened their record at
5-5. They will look to stay in the win
column on Thursday when they play host to Eastlake at 7:00 pm at Lee Johnson
Field.
