LW Drops Two in Eastern Washington

The Kangs begin their
KingCo 4A title defense on Tuesday.
Following two non-league wins earlier in the week, the Kangs
traveled to Eastern Washington this weekend to finish up its non-league
slate. Friday afternoon at Recreation
Park in Wenatchee, Lake Washington fell to the Panthers, 8-2. Phil Gray drove in both LW runs with a
sacrifice fly and a two-out RBI single. The
Kangs traveled to Kennewick to take on 2009 league champion Southridge on
Saturday morning. The Suns scored
multiple runs in four of their five offensive innings, downing Lake Washington,
12-2. Junior outfielder Kory Kohlwes had
two of LW’s three hits, and added a run scored an RBI in the loss.
The weekend losses dropped the Kangs record to 2-2, with the
2010 KingCo 4A opener scheduled for Tuesday.
Lake Washington will travel to Whitman JH to take on the Ballard Beavers
at 3:45 pm.
