Jamborees
in Books, Season Starts Monday

The Kangs anxiously await the start of the 2010 campaign.
The
weather held on Saturday to allow all three of the Kangs baseball teams to get
their jamborees in on Saturday. Both
the Varsity and JV teams took on Mercer Island and Garfield at Bobby Morris
Playfield in Seattle, while the sophomore team hosted their inaugural jamboree
at Chambers Field, with Eastside Catholic and Inglemoor as the
participants.
The non-league
portion of the 2010 schedule kicks off on Monday, as the Kangs travel to
Liberty High School to take on the Patriots in a rematch of last year’s wild opener. The game is the first of two
against teams from the KingCo 3A conference, the league which Lake Washington
will join starting in the 2011 season.
Wednesday, the Kangs will host Sammamish in their home opener at Lee
Johnson Field – game time is at 4:00 pm.
LW will then head to Eastern Washington for the weekend, taking on
Wenatchee on Friday afternoon followed by a tilt with Southridge (Kennewick) on
Saturday morning.
