Central
Kitsap First Up for Kangs at State

The KingCo champion Kangs are currently 18-5 and ranked #4
in the state.
Following
a successful run during KingCo play, the Kangs take their game to the next
level, with the 4A state tournament set to open on Saturday, May
23. Lake Washington’s first opponent
will be Central Kitsap, who finished the year at 16-5, including a 12-2 record
in the Narrows League Bay Division. The
Cougars had to win two loser-out games this past Saturday and did just that, coming from behind to beat Curtis
8-6 before throttling Gig Harbor 13-0 to earn a state berth.
LW and CK will face
off at 2:00 pm at Kent Memorial Park on Saturday afternoon. A win would put the Kangs in the state
quarterfinals, where they would take on either Inglemoor
or Puyallup with a trip to the final four at Safeco Field on the line.
