Kaiser’s Perfect Week Earns him POW Honors

Senior Christian Kaiser reached base in all seven of his plate appearances last week.

For the third consecutive week, a Kang senior has earned KingCo 4A player of the week honors, with pitcher/designated hitter Christian Kaiser picking up the week 5 award.  Kaiser came to the plate seven times last week in games against Redmond and Ballard, and was not retired once, finishing the week 6-for-6 with a triple, walk and 5 RBI.  On top of his performance at the plate, Kaiser also contributed on the mound, earning the win by allowing 2 unearned runs in 5 innings against Ballard on Thursday.  In KingCo play this season, Christian is hitting .346 with 7 RBI and is in the top 5 in the league in ERA (1.56), strikeouts (39) and wins (3).

Wednesday night is Senior Night, as Lake Washington plays its final home game of the 2009 season against Bothell.  Game time is 7:00 pm at Lee Johnson Field.  Come out and support these seniors who have given three great years to the Kangs baseball program!
