Intrasquad Up, Jamboree on Deck

Tyler Staudacher and Eric Folkers are amongst a group of 14 seniors on this year’s roster.

With the first week of tryouts and practice behind them, the 2009 Lake Washington Kangs baseball team heads into its second week together. The annual intrasquad game was postponed on Saturday night and is currently scheduled for Monday, March 9th (weather permitting). This year's intrasquad game will be a doubleheader to allow for all 43 players in the program to state their case for Varsity, Junior Varsity or Sophomore teams.

The Kangs have their first competition against other schools slated for Saturday, March 14th with the Varsity and JV jamborees scheduled for noon at Island Crest Park in Mercer Island. This year's opponents will be two fellow KingCo members: the Bulldogs of Garfield (KingCo 4A - Crest division) and the Islanders of Mercer Island (3A).

The rosters for the Varsity, JV and Sophomore team rosters should be posted by mid-week after the final determinations are made. Schedules are posted for the Varsity and JV teams, with the Sophomore schedule soon to follow.
