Inglemoor’s Jeff Johnson and Juanita’s Robby

2008. The first week’s awards encompassed
games from March 10 – March 21.
Johnson, a
senior outfielder for the Vikings, won the KingCo 4A Player of the Week award
finishing the four game stretch with a .636 batting
average (7-11) with 7 runs scored and 8 RBI. Four of Johnson's seven hits

contributions helped the Vikings start the season a perfect 4-0.
Ryan, a
sophomore left-handed pitcher for the Rebels, made two appearances in Juanita’s
first four games. His debut came in relief against Ballard, where he
allowed 2 earned runs over four innings to pick up the win. Ryan followed
that up by tossing a no-hitter against Garfield in his first Varsity
start, striking out 15 batters while walking just one. For the two-week
period, Ryan pitched 11 innings, allowing 3 hits and 2 runs, walking 2 and
striking out 18. He finished the four game stretch with a 1.27 ERA,
