Thielsen Signs with UNC-Wilmington

 

Former Kang second baseman and current Edmonds Community College middle infielder Ben Thielsen has accepted a scholarship to play baseball for the University of North Carolina-Wilmington.  The Seahawks have appeared in the NCAA regional tournament three of the past five years.   Thielsen was a three-year Varsity starter for Lake Washington and was a member of the 2005 KingCo championship team.  He also earned first-team All-KingCo honors in 2006 and followed that up by earning All-Northern Region and All-NWAACC honors in 2007 during his freshman year with the Tritons.
