Preparing for the 2008 Campaign

 

With every passing day, we get closer to the start of 2008 Kangs baseball.  The first day of tryouts this year is Monday, February 25th and the first game is Tuesday, March 11th against the Roosevelt Roughriders.

 

Web Site Updates

·         The web site has been redesigned (again!) to allow for better organization.  All the links that were on the old site (as well as a couple new ones) are accessible through the drop down menus in the banner on the top.  Simply hover over the text in the purple boxes and menus will appear with selections applicable to each category.  This allows for quick and easy navigation of the site as well as a bigger main section for information, game recaps, box scores, etc.

 

·         In addition, a "Team Records" section has been added (in Kang History) which contains individual Kang records in offensive and pitching categories.  All of the statistics back to 1983 are accounted for in the records section.  Check it out!

 

·         The 2008 Varsity and JV schedules have been posted as well as the KingCo master schedule.  Links to these schedules can be found in the Varsity, JV and KingCo 4A drop down menus respectively. 

 

Preparation

·         The coaching staff will be taking a look at the field to identify areas that need improvement.  Be on the look out for information regarding a field work party sometime in February, as there will be lots to do to get the facilities ready for tryouts.

 

·         Optional off-season workouts have started.  The seniors are running workouts on Tuesday & Thursday mornings before school as well as Saturday mornings.  Contact Ryan Neumann, David Rosser or Curtis Howell for more information.
